«The celebration of the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations offers me the welcome opportunity to express my sincerest satisfaction for the deep bonds of friendship that unite our peoples and our countries.
The relations between Korea and Italy have grown progressively over the years. Today, in the face of the numerous challenges posed by the international scenario, they stand to testify to the benefits that stem from dialogue and cooperation.
For Italy Korea is a partner with which we share values, geopolitical visions and the commitment to defend peace and stability at regional and global levels. This mutual understanding fully emerged from our talks in November, which confirmed the determination of both Countries to give new momentum and enrich the contents of ourbilateral Strategic Partnership.
It is with this spirit that I renew the invitation to come on a State Visit to Italy and wish the best for you personally and a prosperous future for the Republic of Korea. »
